Bulb
Nothing much to say about this. Photoshop, obviously. I'm using some basic comps like this as the starting point for some semi-abstracted pencil drawings, worked this one up to be a bit more finished

A trophy
This didn't quite turn out how i wanted, but the point of this blog is to be a warts and all doc. so i'm posting it. I was going for more of an unreal/false look, (maybe something like old school special effects?). As it is it feels more like a failed attempt at a convincing photoshop job. Also the left hand side of the composition just doesn't work. I might work some more on it and see what comes out of it.

Glove
Photoshop drawing. Another exercise in a monotone style.
I like the almost woodcut effect from using a basic
round brush shape with 2 tones.

A shadowy Flight
I didn't spend as much time on this as I would have liked
but it turned out not too bad.
Knight Rider intro starring a Hotwheels K.I.T.T.
photographed against a printed background, colour work done in PS
(I'm glad no-one told the 10 year old me that he'd have
to wait almost 30 years for a hotwheels kight rider toy)

Wiring Diagram
Paper collage. I toyed with doing some colour/levels correction
in PS but thought it missed the point a bit.

Generation Loss
This comes from an old 3rd year project at art school, some 13 or so years ago.
It's a super 8 movie which was photographed projected onto canvas, the photographic prints
were then arranged in a sequence and photographed again on colour positive film.
Today i took this 13 year old slide and photographed it using my "Crappy Home-made Backlight" technique
and did some extra cropping, texture and colour work using photoshop.

It's about having fun
To get the ball rolling here is a sleepy self portrait drawn using the excellent Colors homebrew app for the Nintendo DS.
